Who we are

Synqframe is operated by Hunter Wignall, doing business as Synqframe, in the United States (“Synqframe”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use synqfra.me, the Synqframe OBS plugin and related services (the “Service”), why, and your choices. Questions go to legal@synqfra.me.

What we collect

When you request access. Your email address, the username you ask for, what you tell us you would use Synqframe for, the channel links you add, whether you want release emails (and when you said yes), when you confirmed your email address, and the spam-check score described below.

Your account. Your email address, username, display name and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), your sign-in sessions, and your settings, workspaces and team memberships.

Connected channels. When you link a Twitch, YouTube or Kick account, we store the access tokens that platform gives us and your stream keys, encrypted. We use them to send your stream to that channel, keep its title and category up to date, read its chat and channel events, and count its viewers. When you connect TikTok through Streamlabs, we store your Streamlabs sign-in, encrypted, and use it only to open and close your TikTok LIVE rooms; Streamlabs receives each room's title and category.

What you stream. The video and audio you send us from OBS, the layouts, overlays, widgets and media you create or upload, and the recordings and clips of your shows. Our systems analyze your feeds automatically to follow the game (for example, reading what is on screen) and to decide which view a show is on. The OBS plugin also reports when your microphone has voice on it, when a game capture or camera starts or stops, and when you press your highlight key: the times these happen, not what you say.

Your audience. The chat messages and channel events (follows, subscriptions, gifts, cheers, raids) that your connected channels receive, including the viewer names that come with them, and your channels’ viewer counts over time. If you connect a tip service, the tips it reports.

Payments. Your payments are made through Link, Stripe’s checkout, which is the merchant of record: it holds your card details and billing address, works out the tax, and handles payment support. We never receive your card details. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription status, and record your usage (relayed gigabytes, composed hours, storage) to bill it.

Technical data. We use your IP address to limit repeated sign-in and request attempts; we keep it only as a one-way hash for a short time. Your browser stores your sign-in token in its local storage so you stay signed in.

Spam protection (reCAPTCHA)

The access request form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to tell people from bots. It runs in your browser and sends Google information about your device and how you use the page. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We keep only the score it returns.

YouTube

When you connect a YouTube channel, Synqframe uses YouTube API Services, and you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can remove Synqframe’s access at any time from your Google account’s third-party access page, or by disconnecting the channel in Synqframe.

How we use it

  • To run the Service: compose and send your shows, record them, and show your chat, alerts and analytics.
  • To review access requests, reserve usernames and tell you when your access is ready.
  • To send the emails you need: confirmation links, invitations, password resets and account notices.
  • To send release news, only if you opted in. You can opt out at any time.
  • To bill you, prevent abuse and keep the Service secure.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • The platforms you stream to. Your streams, titles and categories go to the channels you choose, under those platforms’ own terms.
  • People in your shows. Teammates and collaborators see your username, your feeds in shared shows and the shows’ recordings. Your email address is never shown to other users.
  • Service providers that run parts of the Service for us: cloud hosting and GPU computing, file storage, email delivery, payments (Stripe and its Link checkout, as merchant of record) and spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA). They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people or the Service.

How long we keep it

  • Chat messages and channel events: 7 days.
  • Viewer counts: 90 days.
  • Recordings: as long as your plan or your setting says (7 days on Free; 30 or 90 days by default on paid plans, adjustable), unless you delete them sooner.
  • Access requests and mailing-list choices: until you ask us to remove them or delete your account.
  • Account data: until you delete your account.

Deleting your account removes it and everything that is only yours, including your personal workspace, uploads, recordings of your feeds and your access request. A team you own passes to another member, and a team’s mixed show recordings stay with the team. Your old username stays reserved for 30 days so nobody can pose as you.

Your choices and rights

  • You can see and change your account details in Settings › You, and delete your account there (Delete account).
  • You can disconnect any linked channel at any time.
  • You can turn release emails off in Settings › You (Release news) or with the unsubscribe link in any release email.
  • You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or its deletion by writing to legal@synqfra.me. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law; we honor them.

Security

We encrypt channel tokens and stream keys at rest, store passwords only as salted hashes, use encrypted connections, and limit repeated attempts to sign in. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account is at risk, write to us.

Children

Synqframe is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will post changes here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you by email or in the app first.
